We don't even have any cactus in Maine, except for the ones at the local greenhouse. But, I love these little blooms. It has been the hottest week of the year, so I guess it makes sense that I've painted four of these so far. I'm starting to see that they are the perfect subject for these little canvases, kind-of like fruit studies. I hope to have a whole bunch of these for the COA show in Bar Harbor.
