Starting a new peony painting. The sketch.

I love this part of the project.  The sketches don't always show up too well, but this one did so I thought I would share it.  It is big 30x48".   This is a blend of two different photos, three peonies, challenging, but all the more rewarding too.  It is going to take awhile.
